FASHION156 UPDATE; Designer tracking series, still up and running. Important showcases for each designer through such a crucial time, LFW.
MARIA FRANCESCA PEPE is featured today;
She describes the key as waking up slow, “I’m more like a night person than an early bird. I can email in the morning, I work mainly from my blackberry (that’s all I can do!) but I take my time getting ready because once I’m in the office I’m kind of stuck!”
We are discussing how Maria likes to relax in the run up to LFW and she talks almost maternally about nurturing her garden and creating a peaceful sanctuary away from everything – “I love to do gardening. I’ve got my plants and I feed them and I love to see how they blossom. It’s something that I enjoy very much – I even take pictures!”
Insight into her relaxation time, and ways Maria keeps herself distracted from all the chaos!
The white horse, local haunt for a get-away.
Local parks free Maria's mind.

FASHION156 UPDATE;
Hermione De Paula is featured on this weeks DESIGNER TRACKING SERIES. With a highly interesting insight into what inspired her upcoming S/S 12 Collection.
Previous graduate from Central Saint Martins, De Paula's womenswear has a floaty, romanticism feel yet hard edged lace has adorned previous collections. Hermione knows how to hit feminine clothing to a wide audience. Tasteful and endearing, Hermione brings ladylike desirability to each collection.

Hummingbird.
Bower bird.
Pitcher plant.
NATURE is still a strong focus in De Paula's work. With Hummingbirds to Pitcher Plant's all being part of the process. Hermione has also took an interest in the idea of PERFECTION, looking at idealistic ways women go to suit themselves partially to men. Child beauty pageants and cosmetic surgery were referred to.
Looking forward to the outcome, FASHION156 will keep coverage of De Paula's movements during the manic weeks before LFW, crucial for students alike, giving an insight into the design process.

FASHION156 Update;
After playing around with the new FASHION156 website, I find the new design fits the magazine perfectly.
MINIMAL & CHIC.
The ease of access with links beautifully portrayed with hints of what's to be seen, LOVE.
Here are sectors of the site I partially enjoy...
Versatile navigation bar, with every key section of the magazine shown on each page. With sleek blacks, white and greys boasting colour through the images that arise.
Overall a firm YES from me, comes across WONDERFULLY, with the magazine shining through, as it should.
